Why would he cheat on you? (PART II) (Draft for discussion)

Why would he cheat on you? (PART II) (Draft for discussion)

After having considered the possible reasons motivating a guy to cheat his girlfriend we will now examine the reasons for an engaged guy and a husband to cheat their partner. It is essential to point out this difference as there are fundamental differences between the three situations which basically rest on publicity, creation of new family bonds and the oath taken in front of God.

When a guy cheats his fiancé, he is doing it despite the fact that in the eye of the public he is with someone else and that if this gets to be known it could mean serious trouble for him depending on the situation. We have tried to sum up the main reasons that could lead to such a situation. Of course some of the reasons mentioned in the PART I are still valid. Still engagement being an official undertaking, it would require at times additional reasons for not paying due respect for it.

In a nutshell the main reasons could be:

  1. He never loved his fiancé
  2. He found a better option in the meantime
  3. He realized that the girl would not be the appropriate match in the long term
  4. He felt the impending marriage coming which for him is the ultimate bond according to which he fully takes the sacred responsibility of his fiancé.
  5. Past loves, old affairs, lack of attention or physical distance between the two partners,  initial lack of support from parents for engagement thereby pushing for the search of a substitute…reasons abound in fact
  6. However, and we cite it again even if we are repeating ourselves, all this is a question of ETHICS, ETHOS, RESPECT, LOVE, UNDERSTANDING, COMMUNICATING, ACCEPTING THE OTHER. If these prerequisites are not part and parcel of your relationship, there will come a day, may be even after marriage that things will get more and more complex and unmanageable.

So what to do?

First ask yourself if you really love the guy and whether you think the guy loves you.

If yes, then it would be high time for some hard talk so as to start your relationship anew. However, don’t be blind. If you have no control over the situation especially where distance can come into play, be very careful. Giving the relationship a new chance is like signing a new emotional  contract which is at times stronger one.

If no, there is no need to cry over spilt milk. Things have been done, he has taken you for granted and you did not see anything coming. And above all, you think that he can do it again…So it’s time to break up and move to something else. It is better that this happens before marriage and having children than after.
